Injections and Jellybeans

So, a few days ago I got my vaccination injections at school.
They led me into the drama area with the rest of my home group and we had to line up and wait for our turn.

To my left, there were mats on the floor with people lying on them. Most people had tears in their eyes. I started to panic as the liner slowly got shorter and it was near my turn. Everyone who came out before me were clutching their arm, some even crying.

Let's just say I had a TINY meltdown before the injection.

I don't know what it was, but thinking about getting some fluid injected into me wasn't my type of fun- at least my parents are assured that I won't take drugs.

My eyes just started tearing and soon it became a mini waterfall. I just kept thinking about getting a needle into my arm, and soon my MINI waterfall became Niagara Falls. Everyone in my home group was so nice and understanding. They tried to cheer me up and I was so glad. One of my friends (M.W) was nice enough to come in the room with me whilst I had my injection.

To say it hurt was an understatement. I got two injections, the first one being only a tiny prick, but the second- that was a whole different story.
The nurse gave me three jellybeans (the highlight of the injection) and told me to chew them while she injects the needle. A few of my friends say that they didn't even notice when the needle went it.

Well, I sure did. It felt like she grabbed a massive needle and stabbed it into my arm like a creepy doctor (you know, the one with crazy hair and the evil laugh, although she didn't laugh. She wasn't that cruel.) It felt like it when straight to my bone.

I do not mean to scare anyone reading this, I am just simply implying my experiences with injections. Looking back now, I'm pretty sure that every needle I've had from eight  years+ I've panicked over.

And the worst news about that was I have to get injections, either every term or semester. I also got two injections, one in each arm, and the result was not pleasant.

I hope you enjoyed this post about pain and tears. :)
