Start Of Something New

This year is almost finished and I feel like I haven't done anything that interesting or out of my comfort zone, so I decided to make a bucket list.

1. Do yoga on the beach (without falling over and dying)
2. Write a book
3. Learn to surf
4. Go on a jetski
5. Learn to skateboard
6. Sleep under the stars
7. Have a bonfire with squad
8. TRY to finish Mockingjay
9. Get a white henna
10. Have a slumber party
11. Get a job
12. Upload on instagram everyday
13. Watch fireworks with friends
14. Cut my hair and dye it
15. Write a song
16. Make youtube videos with friends
17. Go iceskating
18. Horror movie marathon (w/ friends of course)
19. Make a music video with song that I wrote
20. Create a new blog theme/ template
21. Dance to wii music in public

I know that this is very cheesy and cliche, but I want to do something more interesting and out of my comfort zone, taking you with me. Hopefully, someday you can do something that you always wanted to do and actually achieve that.
I don't know which one I am going to start off with or when, but I know that all of these are going to happen in the future, and I'm hoping to do it soon!

Goal: By end of highschool

Paper Towns by John Green

A few days ago, my friends and I went to go see Paper Towns. I have got the book, but haven’t finished it yet. And personally, I think that the book is much better (most of the time books are) that even Cara Delevingne’s eyebrows didn’t even make much of an impression on me.                               But, I know what did.

Ansel Elgort
.

He is one of the main characters from John Green’s The Fault In Our Stars and is portrayed as Augustus Waters along with co-star/onscreen lover Shailene Woodley as Hazel Grace Lancaster, but as her sister in the Divergent Series.
In Paper Towns the main characters are:

Nat Wolff – Quentin

Cara Delevingne – Margo

But what I didn’t know was that Ansel Elgort was in the movie as well, and judging by the gasps and excessive amounts of Oh My God, most people didn’t know either. I guess Ansel made quite the impression in TFIOS, because everybody pretty much started screaming when he cam on screen (for two minutes) and returned to normal when Nat Wolff came on screen. Yeah- we’re biased.

I thought that it was only my cinema that I went to that did this, but I talked to my friend on skype (who lives in QLD) and we were talking about Paper Towns and she said that the exact same thing happened when Ansel came onscreen. What I couldn’t imagine though is the premier for Paper Towns and probably everyone in the audience screamed when Ansel Elgort came onto screen, but let me tell you; not everyone screamed when Nat Wolff came on screen in The Fault In Our Stars.

Overall, I thought that this movie was great and hilarious, but I haven’t actually finished the book, so the ending was a bit of a surprise for me. But, after reading TFIOS, I guess John Green isn’t too into happy endings.

Mr Bean and Tooth Extraction

You may think that by the title, these things could not be any more different, but in fact they both link together perfectly for me today.

So, this Tuesday I’m getting my brackets put on my teeth before thy put my braces on Thursday. And because I have a crowded jaw, they had to remove a few teeth, and I found out that they only needed to remove one. I went to the dentist today to get a tooth removed. I thought that the needle would hurt and I found it really scary as you can tell by my post about my injections at school.
My dentist noticed after they gave me the anaesthetic that I was slightly scared by the procedure, so he put on a movie for me-

Mr. Bean to be exact.

So my dentist put on the movie and straight away I started cracking up laughing. It was the episode (or movie) when he meets the Queen and head bangs her. I tried not to laugh throughout this whole thing. I thought it was a mistake that he put on Mr Bean- I mean, he could’ve put anything on!
My dad was sitting in one of those waiting chairs in the same room and was laughing his head off, you could practically see his head on the floor- still laughing. I tried so hard not to laugh while he was putting the numbing needles in my mouth, but I shook a bit, making it hurt a bit more than necessary.

After he extracted the adult tooth, I couldn’t feel a thing as my mouth was still numb. When I smiled, only the right side of my mouth lifted up. When I drank something, one side was actually gtting something, whilst the other side let everything slip. It was amusing to people watching me, but personally, I didn’t enjoy it very much.

I hope you like this slight rant post.

Freaky Facts

I have been told by quite a few people that I have a great knowledge for weird facts. I disagreed with them at first, but then I just decided to embrace my weirdness, so here are some facts that I know off the top of my head.
(Please know that some of these are going to be false as I am not going to check if they are true. They are all coming off the top of my head.)
1.       Someone left their family photo on the moon and it is still up there today.

2.       Cigarettes contain rat poison, nail polish remover and road tar.

3.       Cockroaches can live up to 8 weeks with their head chopped off, and they are highly likely able to survive a nuclear explosion.

4.       You can float an iron cannonball in mercury because it is so dense.

5.       Miranda Sings (Colleen Ballinger) is Ariana Grande’s cousin and vocal coach.

6.       Ariana Grande always use to tie her hair up in the same hairstyle because when she was in the TV show Victorious, they made her dye her hair for 4 years straight. That resulted in damage to her hair and it would fall out, so she kept tying it in the same hairstyle to avoid more loose hair.

7.       The iPhone 6+ was dropped by the first person who bought it. It did not break though.

8.       The left side of your face is more photogenic than the right side of your face.

9.       The Coca-Cola logo use to be red and green and was also tied to the idea of Christmas. (Red and Green)

10.   Only men can become colour-blind.

Well, I hope you enjoyed all these weird, quirky facts. Just remember that probably most of these are not true and that they have come from the top of my head.

Playing With Light

So, I took my camera outside today (my balcony) and I started taking some photos. I live in a house where I can watch football games that you see on TV on my balcony.

It is great, but it can also be a pain because when you are trying to sleep and all you can hear is cheering and booing. It is great to watch when you are awake, but not so good when you are trying to sleep.

I took my camera outside in the afternoon and started messing about with light and shadows. Here is one of my photos:

This photo was of a little ornament hanging on the tree outside.

I got bored after a while. Messing about with lights is fun, but not so satisfying. So, I started messing about in the house. I tried to take photos of my dog, but she wasn't so cooperative.

In this next photo, I was messing about with the depth of field. (Focus length)

I hope you liked my photos.

Injections and Jellybeans

So, a few days ago I got my vaccination injections at school.
They led me into the drama area with the rest of my home group and we had to line up and wait for our turn.

To my left, there were mats on the floor with people lying on them. Most people had tears in their eyes. I started to panic as the liner slowly got shorter and it was near my turn. Everyone who came out before me were clutching their arm, some even crying.

Let's just say I had a TINY meltdown before the injection.

I don't know what it was, but thinking about getting some fluid injected into me wasn't my type of fun- at least my parents are assured that I won't take drugs.

My eyes just started tearing and soon it became a mini waterfall. I just kept thinking about getting a needle into my arm, and soon my MINI waterfall became Niagara Falls. Everyone in my home group was so nice and understanding. They tried to cheer me up and I was so glad. One of my friends (M.W) was nice enough to come in the room with me whilst I had my injection.

To say it hurt was an understatement. I got two injections, the first one being only a tiny prick, but the second- that was a whole different story.
The nurse gave me three jellybeans (the highlight of the injection) and told me to chew them while she injects the needle. A few of my friends say that they didn't even notice when the needle went it.

Well, I sure did. It felt like she grabbed a massive needle and stabbed it into my arm like a creepy doctor (you know, the one with crazy hair and the evil laugh, although she didn't laugh. She wasn't that cruel.) It felt like it when straight to my bone.

I do not mean to scare anyone reading this, I am just simply implying my experiences with injections. Looking back now, I'm pretty sure that every needle I've had from eight  years+ I've panicked over.

And the worst news about that was I have to get injections, either every term or semester. I also got two injections, one in each arm, and the result was not pleasant.

I hope you enjoyed this post about pain and tears. :)

Free Fallin'

So recently I just came back from Thailand. And it was AMAZING.
So, I went there by AirAsia. (Scary I know.)
And came back via Malaysian Airlines (Scarier, I know.)

So while I was up in the plane, I considered quite a few things.
For example, if I lived through the flight I would:

Eat capsicum

Go swimming (I lied)

Get As at school

Yeah, I guess I really panicked and came up with random things while I had an adrenaline rush. (Don't know how because I've been sitting down the whole flight.)

But while I was up in the air, I thought a lot more than I actually did. Even though I knew that I won't live forever, that one day I will die, I felt that my world was not reality.
(Probably due to the fact of too much reading.)
I felt like this:
"Oh, I'm not going to die just yet. I have a whole life ahead of me."

Yeah, I do. But what about those people who were in that Malaysian airplane when it went down. There would of at least been a few children up there in the air. They wouldn't have even considered dying, but yet, they did.

It's a weird thing, death. Whilst I was up in the Malaysian Airplane, I just thought of what it would be like if all of a sudden the plane malfunctioned and it dropped into the ocean.
I wouldn't even suspect. I know I'm being very paranoid, but I decided to share my thoughts with you.

(Enjoy!)

I know this has been a depressing post, but this was seriously what I was thinking when I was up in the air. So, I sort of gave you a chance to be Edward Cullen and read my mind, so...

Yeah.
